The Day of the Dead

A
Halloween isn't much of a fiesta here, although it's becoming more popular. All Saint's Day is. Traditionally, it's when people remember their dead. So they decorate the graves in the morning, and most cemeteries have a special mass.

It's fascinating to see, but please be sensitive. Some people may be recently bereaved and feeling fragile.

Whoops!

Yesterday this blog went off the air for a couple of hours. No, it wasn't Halloween gremlins - I ran out of bandwidth because so many of you have been reading it. What a very nice problem to have. Thank you!

I talked to my hosting service, Helresa.com, and they upgraded their SoHo pack to have extra bandwidth, and extra disk space. (All those photos have to be stored somewhere.) Now that's what I call service! I also think it's good value for €20 a year.

No, that's not an affiliate link. They aren't paying me to say this, or paying per sign-up. I'm impressed, that's all.
